Dental Prosthetics
Dentures in Quesada, Rojales, Torrevieja close to Alicante in Spain
Dental prosthetics includes 3 treatment types: permanently fixed dentures, removable dentures and a combination of the two, called combined dentures.
- Permanently fixed dentures are for example crowns or bridges and single crowns on single implants or bridges on dental implants.
- Removable dentures include full dentures or clasped dentures.
- Telescopic prosthetics belong to the group of combined dentures.
All three kinds of dentures/prosthetics can be placed directly onto the natural teeth or on dental implants in case there is no healthy and stable tooth available. The use of dental implants as anchors makes it possible to avoid upper dental plates and clasps as they are less aesthetic and less comfortable.
In order to attach a larger prosthesis one can also work with a metal- or zirkon (ceramics) bar as well as magnets and telescopes on dental implants or single teeth.
There are different kinds of dental crowns: metal crowns, metal-porcelain crowns, i.e. a metal framework with a porcelain coating, or full porcelain crowns (framework and coating made of porcelain).
Our dental practice has a long standing experience in providing dental prosthetics. We offer everything you can expect of modern dentistry. Whatever matters most to you – e.g. prophylaxis, minimal invasive treatment, cost, wearing comfort, safety, ease of care or aesthetics – we will work out the right solution together with you.
Deployment of functional jaw movement analysis (TMJ or CMD) in connection with dentures and prosthodontics
In our dentistry, Dental Planet, we use functional jaw movement analysis (CMD or TMJ) also in connection with new denture or prosthetics in order to determine the optimum mandibular position. This procedure is of great benefit for the patient.
With the help of the acquired data (from the functional jaw movement analysis, CMD) the dental technician receives valuable and detailed information about the mandibular position. This information helps greatly to manufacture dental crowns, bridges, implants and dental prostheses according to the (maybe already perfect) centric jaw position or can achieve a well balanced centric jaw position with the new dentition.
This presents a great and lasting relief for the patient as he experiences an alleviation of tension in the mandibular area.

- Functional jaw movement analysis or diagnostics can exactly determine which movement disorders are present and which corrective measures are required.
- Based on the measurement results the optimum jaw position can be found.
